Wall plate

got cavity wall which needs wood plate its 300mm wide. Is it allowed to fix down two `150mmx50mm timbers side by side to make it upto 300mm

Also does top of wall cavity have to be closed off before timber bedded on , with slate bedded on

Does it need a single plate for the whole wall or can you just put one on the inner leaf and stuff some mineral wool down to close the cavity?

It's taking a sip structure on top of wall which wall width,

I would say a normal 4x2" wall plate on internal skin, and then new floor joists on that, then your panels on your floor joists if you are building up.
