Hi there, I have recently bought some old cast iron stair spindles. I am looking to srip them of there old and chipped paint so I can reprint them. What am I best off using? Ive been told caustic soda but have heard some not nice stuff about it. Is there a safer option? Thanks, Ash

Hi, Is it possible to tile straight onto floor boards if I screw them all down? The reason I asked is I do not have the room underneath my UPVC front door to ply as well. I am tiling my hallway and removing all floor boards and replacing them with ply or chipboard would be too big of a job...
