How many times will an external alarm battery go off?

It wasn't a nuisance as it was very quiet, therefore there was no danger of it being reported. Also, it wasn't going off every day at all. Just needed a little patience, that's all.

How many times will an external alarm battery go off?

For info the random alarming of the low battery stopped after another 5 or 6 20min rings (at least whilst i was there - i expect it was a few more, but it basically gave up after a couple of weeks).

How many times will an external alarm battery go off?

The ringer is actually cabled to the main panel. I don't think it has anything to do with not seeing the panel. The panel has been dead for months and there has been no issue. It's just started to do the random lower tone rings, so i think it's just the low battery indicator contained in the...

How many times will an external alarm battery go off?

if i had a ladder.. ...i doubt they've noticed. It's right by my bedroom window and it took me a while to work out it was definitely coming from my alarm.

How many times will an external alarm battery go off?

battery alarm?, what panel?, what bell? I have disconnected my alarm system. It is an Infinite house alarm system. The main panel is disconnected at the mains, and the battery in it has run down (so no issues there). I am referring to the battery in the alarm unit on the outside wall. The alarm...

How many times will an external alarm battery go off?

Hi, I've disconnected my alarm inside and the ringer outside, but now the battery alarm is randomly going off every now and then. 3 times so far. It's difficult for me to get to. Any idea how many times it might go off before it dies? thanks AH

Splitting ADSL and Telephone on Spurred Telephone Wiring

ok, i'll put it just inside the property. Should be able to nip off a bit of spare cable in the loft. Installing the adsl/phone socket in the office will free up a standard socket to replace the old master. I've got the NTE2000 and an Openreach NTE5 on order now. So it's all looking good...

Splitting ADSL and Telephone on Spurred Telephone Wiring

ok, that makes sense. I was thinking that i would have to do it separately, ie, put in a BT looking NTE5 and then connect that to the filtered one and go from there, but i see now i can just use the one socket as the front bit has the A and B connector as well. The junction box in the loft is...

Splitting ADSL and Telephone on Spurred Telephone Wiring

thanks for the answer on Xmas day SteNova, but unfortunately that doesn't answer any of my questions. I've done a fair bit of searching, but found nothing relevant to my situation. If you or others have any more suggestions to my questions, feel free to comment. Merry Xmas!

Looking for Reeddrop glass for window

Hi, yeah, i did find the piece i was looking for, but that was through pure chance really, and was the last bit they had. I just kept ringing around a few shops in the Kent area (most impressions were there would be fat chance of finding some), so it was a bit of a J R Hartley moment when i...

Splitting ADSL and Telephone on Spurred Telephone Wiring

Hi Telecoms Experts, I currently have a spur telecoms wiring in the house and the adsl is really poor (0.3Mbit) (it dropped off from 1.0 recently for some unknown reason). Here's the layout: Anyway, i disconnected all the sockets from the junction box in the loft and connected a...

Painting rim at bottom of front of house

Hi, there is a 1ft high rendered rim at the bottom of the front of houses on my street (usually pebbledash above) - 1930's house. Most houses have this rim painted black. I want to paint over it. I asked the paint shop man (big paint trade shop) if it needed special paint on it - he said no...

    Painting outside of house.

hi, i've just painted the front of my house over a poor pebbledash. I've given it two coats now and the neighbours are very pleased :D It did take ages - probably 30-40hrs (£50 of paint), and as the guy says, you need to use a small brush around the window frames and on the boundaries -...
