PVC front door - lock locks but can't fix in place

Thanks for this, there was nothing available to unscrew originally which is why I suspect it was broken off. Yes, taking it out allows for the handle to move up and down. The kit came with two rounded screws with Phillips heads, so sounds like they might need an upgrade. Will look into grub...

PVC front door - lock locks but can't fix in place

Yes, that was the one that was broken off, there was no head on it, so it looked like there wasn't one in there from the outside. Had to get it out of the thing with tweezers as it was floating about. Cheers

PVC front door - lock locks but can't fix in place

Euro door lock was starting to fail. Bought a new Yale lock barrel to replace it. Unfortunately something inside the operation had come loose and had to snap the old lock to get it out. The new lock has slid in, the new key turns and engaged all the multi points and the door handle...

    Lamona oven intermittent trip

Hello Lamona integral oven, 2.4 kw wired up to a 13amp plug. The oven is at least two years old (it was here when we moved in), and the element has played up a couple of times (not heating properly once or twice), and the red LED light that indicates it's on often comes on overnight when...

So - for...

    Question about boiler/shower combo

My kids are 9 and 6, it's already rush hour in the lav first thing. It would be nice to have the reading room back once we've got the second lav installed if nothing else. I do like a hard shower, I'm worried the 24kw Ferroli won't be able to handle it when combined with the water pressure. I...

    Question about boiler/shower combo

Hello I've got a Ferroli combi boiler, a Modena 80. I would like to convert a bedroom into a second bathroom. The first bathroom has an electric shower that obviously runs from the cold feed. I was hoping to run the new shower in the second bathroom from the boiler, so a mains fed shower...

Ferroli Modena 80 - Filler loop query

Thanks! Job done, pressure is up to 1.2 ish. Checked all the rads for leaks, nothing obvious. Will see how long it lasts before I have to do it again. Cheers

Ferroli Modena 80 - Filler loop query

Hello Been nudged towards using the filler loop on my boiler as the pressure has dropped a bit. I've seen a couple of videos and read some guides - but not seen one for this specific model. The ferroli video I found mentioned two black valves - but I only seem to have one actually on the...
