Here a photo of the front door. I know its a mess, but it must be some sort of damp issue growth of the damp patches (not water ingress). I've considered using these: this product but it does not explain why I am getting a growing damp patch on my floor. Many thanks

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a damp problem and it is a bit unusual in that it appears to be spreading across the floor as well as up the wall. Only a small section of wall is affected. Does this sound like rising damp, or could it be something else given that the damp is also...

Yeah the protective tape does come off with some uPVC cleaner and it was fitted about 10 years ago

Of course, but we are talking about different things. Why can't you accept that professionals have a responsibility/duty to their clients? Why is it any different for approved inspectors?
