Mira Sport max 10.8 KW running cold

I've managed to fix it. It was not the thermal cut out. What I found was the shower would run for a few seconds and the low flow light would come on, on the high and medium setting. The flow valve assembly has a contact it makes on to the circuit board' and it was not connecting with enough...

Mira Sport max 10.8 KW running cold

I'll have to check it. What resistance should I get. The shower itself was working fine. It was just the the flow switch assembly that was leaking. I had to take the whole thing apart and disconnect the wires to replace the flow valve assembly. Is it possible I have some how damaged the thermal...

Mira Sport max 10.8 KW running cold

The shower was working fine, but the flow valve assembly was leaking. I replaced the flow valve assembly, and the leak of fixed, and the shower comes on, but only runs cold, and when you press the high button, the high button light goes off instead of staying on like usual. Any ideas what could...

    Repairing oil boiler motor

Hi burnerman. So I am wrong in thinking I can repair motors simply by replacing the bearing(Obviously after confirming the capacitor is not fault)? What other things can I do to get a motor working again? Do you often get motors that will not work, or in most cases is it simply replacing the...

    Repairing oil boiler motor

When the motor stops working on a oil boiler. I know the most common fault is usually the capacitor, but if the motor is actually faulty is it usually the motor bearings that go? I am asking, because I see you can buy motor bearings, instead of buying a whole expensive motor. Has anyone replaced...

    Flexible oil line sizes

Hi I was hoping somebody could help me. It's probably a pretty simple question, but are all connectors that fit on to the oil pump a 1/4 inch connection? And is it just the side that connects on to the actual oil line that is a different size?

    Tap adaptor for sink?

No, it is a old monoblock tap mixer and has two threads like a basin tap underneath the sink. I would of through the they would be 1/2 inch, and that is what they look like, but the 15mm flexible adaptor seems just a little too small. Should the threads be 1/2 like a basin? Or could they be a...

Hi I need to replace a tap adaptor on to a kitchen sink. It is a old monoblock tap with only the threads under the sink. Do basin tap adaptor a fit on them ok? I was trying a flexible basin tap adaptor on it, but I could not seem to get it on the threads. I thought the threads would of been half...
