Hi looked at system in a bit more detail, found what I think is a pump, its red hot, it has "controller 's' " written on it, when it is hot water only it does not supply to the cylinder but when the heating is on it does ( the return pipe gets warm) so I guess there might be a problem with this...

how can I test that? +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ And is it easy to change????

Motor valve is that the cincron or what ever its called

The reason I want to know the above is because I only get hot water when the heating is on thats why I think it maybe the therm in the cylinder any help would be appreciated.

How do you test if a cylinder thermostat is working or not?
