Fitting a Belfast Sink, Help please

I've been lookin on t'internet and it seems they only come in 18 or 24" options. You would think Twyfords might cotton on to this and make a metric one. How many kitchen units are sold as 2 foot these days !!?? Anyone got any ivory coloured sealant ?

Fitting a Belfast Sink, Help please

I rang the guy that did the kitchen layout and he had no idea that the sink was bigger than 600. He said he asked one of his kitchen fitters and they said 'yeah happens all the time' . He said they just centre the sink on the unit and then fit between the other units leaving a 3-4mm gap each...

Fitting a Belfast Sink, Help please

Hi I'm mid way through fitting my new kitchen. I have a Twyfords Belfast sink which I was hoping to fit on top of a standard 600mm belfast sink base with standard height units either side. Problem is sink is 24" i.e. 610mm, so will not fit in gap. How do I get round this ? Any tips...

    Why 1 radiator without TRV?

Well the way my heating system works is with a timer that turns the system on and off when I want it to, and a thermostat that tells the boiler to give it some, until my prefereed temperature is reached. I have TRVs on all but one of the radiators so I can set different levels of heat in each...

    Toilet waste pipe.

It has the same rubber fittings as a push fit WC connector. The top of the bung is like a cap so it can't fall in. They fit pretty well. Once you have capped it you can cover it in sand & cement. You can't pour concrete down it as it will flow straight into the drains and then you really...

    Mixer tap

Thanks chaps. Just been for a lie down in the downstairs WC. I've removed the bolt and checked, but there is nothing helpful like a groove. (Probably would have added 0.001p to manufacturing cost). I'll resort to plan A and hacksaw the bolt to the required length & then either use a...

    Why 1 radiator without TRV?

You need to have one raiator without a TRV so the boiler can get some flow. Usually the one near the thermostat. If they all had TRVs they could all close and there would be nowhere for heat to go. Are you sure there isn't a wall thermostat ?

    Toilet waste pipe.

Christ I've just paid a builder a huge amount of dosh to put one of them in !! You'll miss it believe me. Mines only been in a week and I would never go back to just 1 loo upstairs. I would have thought you could just take it about an inch below floor level, stick a rubber end bung in it...

    Mixer tap

Just fitted a mixer tap onto new sink in downstairs WC. Used flexible connectors, no problem, but how the feck are you supposed to tighten the nut that holds the tap to the sink top (via that little underside plate). I can get it semi-tight but there is no room for a tap spanner, or any...

    Too many white squares !!

Just about to have my kitchen re-wired. The new design means I have (one one wall) .. Integrated fridge/freezer, extraction fan, dishwasher and on the other Integrated washer, microwave and drier. This means I will end up with 5 fused spur switch plates above my worktop. Is there...
