    Underfloor heating ceramic tiles caulking

I have underfloor heating and ceramic tiles with wooden skirting. The caulking has dried and shrunk and looks a mess. My tiler has no interest so need to sort myself. Best caulk?alternative products? techniques to ensure best effect etc. Many thanks BB.xx

    External cladding systems

Thanks for this- if you used the Kingspan what did you do for render on top- I gather there are 2 to 3 coats that go on top. The companies with recommended installers issue warranties- do you know what can go wrong? is it mainly cracking to the render?

    External cladding systems

It seems you can't buy many of these systems as they all have to be applied by registered installers! I have found that you can buy Kingspan from various sources- does anyone know if there are any other brands that 'ordinary people' can buy? Did you buy Sto brand and install it? If so where did...

    External cladding systems

Has anyone out there any information on using phenolic boards covered by render to insulate a house? I've had quotes to do this on a renovation project but they are all so expensive if you go to 'recommended installers' as there are so many middle men all taking their cut- it can't be that...

    Underfloor Central Heating

Thanks for all this- I think the spacing you say is right. The Celotec does have a reflective surface that the pipework goes on to- what would you recommend re screed- the joists have had small battens put under them- (running parallel with them) to support the celotec

    Underfloor Central Heating

This is a project that has gone wrong! The original builder had the Celotex put down- I think on his own initiative as he'd used the same approach elsewhere and said it worked really well? We have 3 floors- one has had the pipework laid - the others have the Celotex in the spaces ready for the...

    Underfloor Central Heating

I am in the process of a big renovation project and we are having underfloor heating installed. We have suspended timber floors and they have been prepared to take the underfloor heating by having Celotec insulation fitted between the joists. We have had several plumbers come along to look at...

    Exterior painting

I have a large house to repaint externally - the walls are sound but uneven and are rendered- so many imperfections. I am considering using a srayer and product such as Sandtex High Build- is this viable for competent DIYers?
