Periodic Inspections and Putting it right

Haha, awesome animation ;) So true. I did ask for a PIR, if they where approved NICEIC, and 'full testing' and report was to be included. Bad me did pay a little too quickly. I see you have all been busy since the original OP! Thanks for the replies, I think what happened is the...

Periodic Inspections and Putting it right

Hi all, I am intending to let out my flat so have had a Periodic Inspection Report carried out by a niceic registered electrician. I read up online about the reports and the length of time taken seemed to vary. For a two bedroomed flat I was charged £80 and didn't seem to take over 35...

90's Flat electric Water Heating System

Muggles, thanks for the reply. I was thinking of going the large domestic route, with a dedicated power supply for the instant. But Your right, I hadn't realised the flow rate would be *that* low.. although if i timed it.. it probably takes at least 10mins to fill a bath currently anyway...

Ceiling Light Fitting - Sudden Failure

About 8 months ago i replaced an old light with a new fixture on a lounge ceiling. I then replaced the double dimmer switch to one that can have push on/off rather than tweaking up the dimmer every time. Now... it took a while to figure out the correct wiring but got there in the end as...

Memora 2000 Consumer Unit - Constant Buzz Issue - faulty?

Hey folks, Its set up via a 24hr timer, when the current comes on you get a reasonably loud 'chunk' as it switches, but im sure this prolly cant be avoided due to the sudden change in load (let me know if it can!). Anyways, the main problem is a constant 'buzzing' from one of the MEM...
