Hey folks,

Its set up via a 24hr timer, when the current comes on you get a reasonably loud 'chunk' as it switches, but im sure this prolly cant be avoided due to the sudden change in load (let me know if it can!).

Anyways, the main problem is a constant 'buzzing' from one of the MEM modules while taking load, which has AA3 written on it (along with a diagram). It takes up three spaces on the rack and has 'contractor' written below it. The center of the face of the module is 'browned out' from a heat burn. Does this sound like a faulty module? or is that normal?

On economy 7 its damn annoying is it clicks on in the middle of the night then buzzes away happily! I can live with the click, but the buzz is annoying ;)

Probably just the magnetic coil inside the contactor generating an audible 50Hz buzz from the mains supply. Probably not a problem, the coils do get warm, although if the browning and/or is serious then it might be worth replacing.
