No problem, hive or nest might be the better option if you are wanting the internet control as that just replaces the programmer and thermostat. The hive receiver even uses the same backplate as your current programmer so should be a straightforward swap.

Unfortunately if it’s a MiGo you want it’s not as simple as connecting it to the boiler you have - you’d need the MiGo system pack. This includes a new wiring centre which you’d have to connect your zone valve(s), cylinder thermostat and MiGo to which is then connected to the ebus connection on...

I’m pretty sure it’ll be bypass/pump overrun related so it’s not going to help.

Where is the pump wired to? It should be the wired back to the PCB on the boiler. I’d also change the pump setting to II to make sure it is definitely opening the bypass after demand ends. Get them to double check the 24v link has been removed too.

Yeah the Ambisense controls are meant to be used on conjunction with either a VRC700 or a sensocomfort hence the ‘no compatible control’ error.

That’ll be why it’s not working. You’ll need a VRC700 as well.

Have you also got a VRC700 controller plugged in somewhere?

You need to put a link in from live to terminal one on the single channel hive receiver. The live and neutral just power the receiver. You need power at terminal one as when it is turned on the receiver switches power from terminal one to three.
