Thanks both, I tried to fix the hive onto the existing backplate, but it doesn't really fit. For clarity this id the wiring of the existing controller Shall I just wire the hive up the same and put the wall thermostat on max? Or can I disconnect the thermostat wiring? Thanks again for any help

Yes it's a combi boiler I think, I should add I have a megaflow tank in the airing cupboard with two motorised valves and an immersion heater. The immersion heater is always off.

Hey Guys, thanks for all the help, I don't think it's an ultracom, from the pictures I've seen that looks very different it's just a 30sxi as far as I can see. Just as an update, I added a little more water when it was cold last night, and this morning when it was hot it was running fine at 2.0...

Hi everyone, just a quickie I hope, I bled three of the rads and the boiler stopped, showing a pressure of 0.3 Bar. With the boiler still on I started re pressurising the system via the filling loop. When it reached 0.5 Bar, the boiler restarted and all is well. Now the system is running hot...

Just as an update, heat line were impossible to track down, the number on their website is an 01733 number, which should have been 01773 which was discontinued anyway. I tracked a number down to Bedford and spoke to someone who said they have been taken over by glow worm. Anyway I went to one...

Hi there, as you can see from the picture, the top part of this TRV has all but snapped off from the metal part. Can I just unscrew the large ribbed metal washer and replace the plastic part - ?are they available separately? or will I need to turn the water off to avoid getting very wet...
