Hi all, Baught this van about 7 weeks ago from auction for work, drove home fine and started with no issu8es. I left the van for 4 weeks and on start up was getting clicking sound only, on jump start managed to get the engine to turn once but was very laboured. Charged battery over night...

Yeah, these boilers are an absolute piece of sh@t. Ive had 2 PCB's, a fan, wiring loom, burner box door and a burner. My faults started after 18 months, its now limped to 5 yrs old. I'm aiming to replace every single part on the boiler by the time its 10...whats the bets i can :?

plastic pipe goes brittle and splits, and the reason i posted my comment was to advise anyone directed to the thread with a similar problem... :wink:

i agree with the over engineered guy. this is way over the top. i would use plastic barrier pipe which has a lower freezing point than copper pipe insulated with armaflex class o exterior lagging with a 25mm wall thickness and zip tie it every foot or o to anything handy.....job done while your...

this worked for me also, piece of string held vertically in both hands fed from r to l then pulled to left releases catch mechanism, brilliant, just got to fix broken lock now or teach my missus how to do this......hmmmm...yeah, fix lock! :wink:
