I could really do with some advice. I noticed a couple of days ago my Vokera Linea boiler had some slight dripping from its bottom side.
I was obviously concerned by this as I know absolutely nothing about Boilers and have a natural fear of things going wrong with gas / water applicances...
Thanks for all the great help on this job. The lights are now both up and working absolutely fine.
Unfortunately however my partner came home and has decided she does not like the lights now so it looks like they are coming down again - pfff!!
Anyway it has been a great learning experience...
Thanks securepark
I have just taken a photo of the other ceiling rose in the room that still has the existing light attached.
This one appears slightly different though in that there are now 3 main cables coming down from the ceiling.
Just one last question.
As far as I can see there are 3 "green and yellow" wires in total i.e 2 coming down from the ceiling and one from the light itself.
It was suggested I connect all the green and yellow wires together. So does this mean I put 2 of these wires into one socket hole in...
Just to clarify my situation here are some photos:
This is what is currently on the ceiling

This is the connector that must be fixed to the ceiling

You can see the connector attached to the end...
Thanks pensdown - that makes it alot clearer. It looks like I need to buy a couple of these block things and remove the see through ceiling rose that is there at the moment.
Many thanks
There were instructions but they were generic instructions to cover all different lights and no diagrams showing any wires at all. Basically they were useless...
I bought two of the following lights to fit to my living room ceiling

Anyway there are currently 2 light fittings in the living room. The standard white plastic ones with the see through ceiling rose.
The lights I have bought...
