    Grohe bath mixer leaking

Do they tend to all be universal fits? Does inside the tap look normal, where the cartridge sits? Looks like a lot of corrosion/buildup of ****?

    Grohe bath mixer leaking

Update (if anyone is reading), I contacted Grohe and they've agreed to fix it under their 5 year warranty, so will likely be sending out a new cartridge.

    Grohe bath mixer leaking

Does this also look like a lot of corrosion inside, where the cartridge sits?

    Grohe bath mixer leaking

Is there a quick fix if this the problem? Or will it need replacing?

    Grohe bath mixer leaking

Hi all, I have a Grohe Grohtherm 800 bath shower mixer tap fitted approx 3 years ago. Been working fine but it's now dribbling from the tap constantly and won't turn right off. I assume there's a fault with the cartridge? It only leaks when hot water supply is turned on, not when just cold is...

Nest 3rd gen thermostat... hard wire to socket?

Mains socket to an 3A FCU with 2.5mm², then FCU to 240v-12v reducer with 0.75mm², then reducer to Nest with 0.75mm². Is this allowed? Bit of a faff as opposed to plugging it in, but I wanted it hardwired so people can't unplug the Nest to use the socket for their iPhone chargers etc.

Nest 3rd gen thermostat... hard wire to socket?

Hi Just fitting my Nest 3rd gen thermostat, it requires a 12v power supply, mains power is obviously too much and will kill it. Its located just above a double socket (ring main), is there any way of coming off this socket with a wire to power it? Found this 240v to 12v reducer, what would be...

    Recommended smart thermostat

Thanks. What was putting me off was a comment on this video from someone who appears to have the same boiler but was having issues with dhw... Nest W/B installation vid (first comment) Is this person having issues because he has a hot water storage tank? We don't have a tank, didn't think you...

    Recommended smart thermostat

Hi. Just had an external oil combi fitted, W-B greenstar heatslave II 18/25. I'd like it to be controlled via smart thermostat but struggling to understand which one would be best. Rads are all on standard trvs, not smart trvs, so no individual zones for house controlled through thermostat...

    Plasterboard flanges

How would the wiring work in that... existing cable into the double, then a short length from the double into a single? This existing socket is a spur off the ring main, is that ok?

    Plasterboard flanges

Thanks, might give that a go.

    Plasterboard flanges

Yeah, I just predicted that outcome based on the test fit I just did on a spare bit of board. Why don't they make drylining boxes for triple sockets?! Think I'll use a pattress box instead. Not a fan of surface mounting, but its going to be behind a tv unit so won't really be seen.

    Plasterboard flanges

Ok thanks. Bit of a tight squeeze then.
