    Bathroom ceiling paint recommendations.

Just on a separate note, i found my bathroom was very steamy even with a good fan fitted. Good insulation will help, but what really helped with my one was a larger radiator. With more heat i don't even get the mirror misting up.

    Remote cctv access problem

Hi, hope you can help. i have a CCTV DVR which i would like to access remotely. I have registered with a DNSdynamic as i don't have a static IP address. Now this seems to be fine & i can get to my login page via this service for the CCTV DVR, but it wont except my user name & password for the...

Stranded PVC cable, and junction boxes under floorboards.

Twin cable were about in the 60's but not the 80's. So you can assume it was an upgrade in the 80's. Instead of fitting RCBO's could you not fit a 17th addition board board fitted with 2 RCD's & a main switch as it will be a lot cheaper than RCBO's. (Around £60 for the board with fuses) The...

Do they make a Flexable flow & return pipe for boiler.

Ah! thats the nice thing about forums is that you can get pointed in new directions & this page http://www.fish4parts.co.uk/Plumbing.81/Pipe-Clamps-%25252F-Clips.10930243/ should solve it as i can get the old clips out & support from above.

Do they make a Flexable flow & return pipe for boiler.

That might be an idea. I was trying to avoid touching the pipes in the area where they are fixed as its sods law its where all 3 MV's are & where pipes go though beams & alike, so would have problems even raising the pipes a few milometers, but can cut into the flow & return.

Do they make a Flexable flow & return pipe for boiler.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately its a Glowworm sxi30 boiler with a built in pump that couldn't even be removed & mounted remotely. But you opened up other idea's with those clips.

Do they make a Flexable flow & return pipe for boiler.

Hi, got a small problem with noise transfer from the boilers pump to ceiling. I have put in my own heating in a bungalow with the boiler & tanks in the loft & pipes dropping down to the rads all done in plastic except for the last 2 meters to the boiler which is in copper. (All is working...

    LPG or Oil

My fault on the tank, we would of had to have a pump fitted for the oil as we couldn't work it on gravity & that added a few hundred with the pump & added electrics. The boiler was a 30kw sealed system basic boiler (none combi) as a 21kw would not have been enough. We where a little lucky on...

    LPG or Oil

I know its an old thread, but i just fitted a boiler for my new central heating system & the boiler cost me £702.00 to buy in comparison to nearly £1500.00 for the oil equivalent. Wile we have a JCB on site we ordered a 2400lt underground tank that cost £407-00 from Avanti gas & will hold 2000lt...

Max Lenth 22mm condensation pipe from a boiler

Hi, we are fitting a boiler & are about to fit a 22mm condensation pipe from the boiler to a waste pipe in the bathroom, but the length of run is around 11 meters with a nice slope. What is the maximum length this can be in 22mm?. The only info with the boiler is that on a long run, increase...
