Sorry, forgot the Temp T. lol This is a direct cylinder and is electric heating only? No gas boiler and cylinder coil. "Correct" EV is a bit hidden in the photo.

Loosing a lot of hot water. Pressure release valve ????

The system is all electric & the emersion stat is working as its around 52c temp & not drawing electric, so thats switched off as it should do & the prv should go up to at least 70C in temp before any release. For the sake of it i will change the pressure gauge this morning & the pvr. Any...

My fault. lol I am going to put the emersion on for an hour & see if somthing happens, but i have temp sensors everywhere & the tanks not gone over 52'ish C. PS: Just updated the alarm. Do many workplaces not allow mobile phones ?

Had a customer with a small chain of restaurants in the Herts area that had phone blockers installed. Even though ilegal he let all managers know that regular customers could get baby sitters & alike to call the restaurant. I personally agree with no phones in places like this & not a lover of...

    Heat pump installation costs

Might have your elec tariff wrong, but my tariff is 6.6p off peak & 0.25p peak & 9500kw works out at £198pm if all on peak. With off peak & battery's a lot less. I'm with Good Energy. & they paid the £50 to move, plus no questions on how i use the electric. IE: Must have an EV for battery...

    Heat pump installation costs

Personally i would ask around with what a heat pump cost to run. I would only be installing it if i was saving money on gas or electric. Quite often a heat pump is top up with another fuel, IE: electric. This will always be the most expletive fuel as it needs gas/oil/coal to produce it. So, at...

    Cracks under Steel Beam

Personally i think its better to block off the cavity & shutter it & poor in concrete. Your guaranteed to get a perfect pad stone bridged across the cavity & spreading the load evenly. But even if using pad stones they should be bridging the cavity like image to spread the load.

    Interesting Regulation of Yesteryear

Got to also remember thing change for a reason. Many appliances in a kitchen where often 3kw & i personally wouldn't put a 3kw appliance on a plug & would hard wire it in to a flex outlet plate. Plugs & sockets can often get warm & hot at 3kw = 13.4A at 230v. Thankfully many appliances are 2kw...

    Rich tax-dodgers were bluffing

Agree! cant remember which country, but it was when the eastern block country's finished their wars & wanted to keep any rich people at home. Everyone was taxed at 20%, then after 30K it dropped to 18% & so on to 8%. They also gave the same person a extra 0.5% tax relief to each person they...
