Repair stain on the granite worktop caused by Harpic

Hi, We had accidently left a leaky Harpic Plus bottle on our granite worktop (not knowing that it was leaking). It stayed for there for some time ( probably a day or 2 ) untill we saw the leak. When we removed it I saw the excess Harpic liquid on the Granite & I did wipe it immediately but...

Remedy to eliminate orange-peel/rough patch after final-Coat

I am confused why the orange peel effect comes up ? Is it because i am thinning the paint too much (over-rolling) or its too thick enough ? I am using the standard harris 9 inch roller and apply it on the wall in a section of 2.3m * 0.25 m of area rolling it in a long W pattern from (top-bottom)

Beginner - stripping paint and painting plaster questions

For newly skimmed plaster : I have just finished painting my ceiling which was newly skimmed and realised that I should have used the Dulux Selant to save effort and lots of paint. I tried using mist coat to act as a sealant as my first layer but it didn't work as expected. May be the % of...

    painting radiators

I have radiators which were painted previously, I have scrubbed them lightly with steel wool. Do I need to apply a Metal Primer on it ? I have Dulux Once Gloss which I intend to use over the radiators . This paint doesn't require the use of undercoat ( as mentioned on the can).

Query about Primer+Undercoat combined options and Mist Coat

Thank U very much John for the detailed advice. For already painted radiators or wooden surfaces like doors, Is it really necessary to have a undercoat at all ? or is it just sufficient to sand it down and apply 1 or 2 final coats of metal gloss paint?
