Holty, a member on here fitted a boiler for me in one of my rentals in 2012.
We are now in the process of selling the property and it appears that the Gas Safe register has no recollection of it being registered with them.
If someone could help me contact him, if he is still trading.
Thanks
Hi
Ok first let me explain. I am NOT DIY ing here. I have no business going into the boiler myself, I know that. I have a gas safe engineer trying to diagnose the fault and any advice I receive will be passed to him.
Essentially the boiler seems to light up when it feels like it. The boiler...
OK, so I can get them made to measure I know.
Having said that funds are limited with this customer so I am trying to find an 'off the peg' solution. Experience tells me that these are usually quite a bit cheaper if I can get one.
For example, I saved nearly 50% with a Wickes french door...
I must admit I thought this would have been a standard size. I've tried the usual suspects, B&Q and Wickes etc. Wickes do 1500, 1800, and 2400, but not the 2100.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a standard size maker for these please? the opening is 2050 high.
Thanks
Caravan is less than 6m from the house. Looking at extraneous conductive parts on the outside of the house, there are none at ground level.
Guttering is UPVC as are the windows bar one which is wood. The front door is close but that faces away from the caravan.
The closest think to the...
Thanks for that.
As you say, there's no easy way around that one. This is a favour for a friend really. She got someone to quote to do this work and he was going to use the SWA cable around the outside of the house.
My initial thinking was that I could route a cable properly protected and...
A friend of mine has a caravan she wants to use for commercial purposes next to the house and needs a caravan hookup. I wanted to talk through the installation with you guys please.
Before I go on, a bit of background about me. I have taken and passed the 16th Edition and Inspection and Test...
Right, in that case there most likely will be a swept bend after the pan connector goes in.
When you remove the toilet you will find that the collar visible in the picture will be far too big a diameter to accept a pan connector. However the pan connector will fit into the indernal dia of the...
The idea with the twist drill bit was not to use a drill with it.
Simply hold the twist drill bit in your hand and twist it until it locates in the rest of the fitting. Then when you apply heat you can use the twist drill to pull it out when it comes out. At this point you may want to use a...
I've never had a problem in this respect. As has been said a swan neck pan connector would be best for this. They tend to be the same internal diameter as the modern plastic ones. As the pan connector will make internal contact that is what you need.
When you remove the toilet you may need to...
You can get 3/4 in to 22mm converters on Ring Solder or endfeed from good plumbers merchants.
If you're stuck with having to slide joints onto the job then the 3/4 inch IIRC is slightly smaller dia. If you do file the stops inside you may be able to slide these onto the old 3/4 inch pipe and...
That is a slur on non time served guys like me
I could actually do better than that. 8)
How much do you owe them and how much have you paid so far?
I'm thinking that if you've only paid them 20% you are at least the right side of this financially. You're perfectly within your...
