Not your standard plumbing question: pipework to plumb in pressure washer?

Ah. My intention is to have it permanently plumbed and connected to power but not powered. I don't mind opening a ball valve and hitting the on switch. What I don't want is to faff with the extention cord, faff with (frozen?) hose or outside tap. My plan is to mount it in the garage, drill...

Not your standard plumbing question: pipework to plumb in pressure washer?

To be honest, a bit of fixation. I need a short flexible coupler too. Gets expensive quickly. Can I use existing stuff? My "challenge" is wall mounting the female coupler on the outside of the garage so I can just plug the lance in when I want it. Maybe I should look more.

I don't recall the EN spec but when I looked it up it was safe to 251 bar and yes, all joints are compression also rated. In short, I'm well out of the DIY plumbing world and well into the DIY hydraulic world . What could possibly go wrong

Pretty much looking like that. Hydraulic copper pipe, 22mm, is only £33 for a 3m length which is OK. Now researching fittings and joints. Got to love the Internet.

Not your standard plumbing question: pipework to plumb in pressure washer?

I want to plumb a pressure washer into the garage. Supply is already there. I'd like to have the washer permanently connected and the high pressure side of it clipped to the wall and eventually passed through to the outside where I'll put a m22 connection on it. If I understand correctly...

Sewage smell in downstairs toilet. Shared stack with toilet above.

Thanks. I cannot smell anything around the valve but it's upstairs, in the box void. Perhaps the smell just sinks. I'll give it a go. They standard 110mm? (thick grey sewage pipe) Manholes all clear. I'm well versed in those from other septic tank issues... . The things I've seen from my...

Sewage smell in downstairs toilet. Shared stack with toilet above.

Hi folks, I have a crazy smell in the downstairs toilet which has built over the space of a week or so. In our downstairs toilet we have the main stack which runs under the house into the main sewer and also up to the upstairs toilet and bathroom. This downstairs toilet shares a wall with the...

Sewage / drainage run to septic tank leaks. Best option to fix?

All clay and very soggy at the moment. I've got another quote from someone who will jet it, find the cracks / popped joints and repair them rather than "line the whole pipe".... Waiting on confirmation from him to come out. to add - the pipe runs diagonally under my lawn for most of it so...

Sewage / drainage run to septic tank leaks. Best option to fix?

It's your bog-standard 110mm plastic pipe so assuming it is. I'll go with this. I've already repaired one blown joint - you could see the seal hanging into the pipe. Given that, and the run length, assuming the pipes are 6m lengths, and the pipe is not perfectly straight, it feels like there...

Sewage / drainage run to septic tank leaks. Best option to fix?

Hi, I have a run from the house down to the septic tank which is around 60m long. At the start of the run there is no liquid. By the time it enters the tanks, there is a steady stream of water which is generally clear and looks like you've left a hose on. The pipe is 110mm plastic. I've had...

Plumbers Mait correct? Toilet leaking, when flushed, where bowl meets waste pipe.

Hi all, I have a toilet which has been in situ for a very long time. The seal between the bowl outlet and waste pipe is visibly cracked and leaks when flushed. It also moves which I try reposition it and feels brittle. Do I: 1. leave the seal in place and slather Plumbers Mait over it or 2...

Would this help to improve water pressure?

I actually get 12l/m. There is an outside tap which tees off the mains. Onto that I have a flow meter. That caps out at 11/12 my. So is my issue internal then?

Would this help to improve water pressure?

My house is around 300m from the main road and fed with a 25mm mdpe pipe. It enters my house, runs through a 22mm copper pipe to the boiler and then runs around the house in 15mm pipe. https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/051016200/ If someone is in the main shower, opposite side of the house...
