Are your 10W lamps heat proof?

OK. What is alternative to leaving it hanging? I am looking to put in 40W bulb.

If I leave a couple of inches of heat resistant wire in chimney breast and attach the above lamp to it. Would it be OK to just leave lamp hanging from cable without seciring it? Fire is over 1M below.

So if I buy this, what sort of "surface box" could I use to attach it? Or could I just let it hang from the cable?
