The Viessmann Vitodens is great (if all you are concerned about is the stainless steel heat exchanger) other than that in my experience of fitting at least 500 vitodens 100's (Combi & systems) in the last 2 years as specified....I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole!...feel free to contact me if you would like a detailed list of breakdowns on the 500+ Vitodens 100's I have fitted.
I had a vitodens 100 compact 18kw installed eighteen months ago and so far its its failed 3 times with the same fault F4.
The first failure was within 2 days and I accepted this as what we call infantile failures
A complete control panel was fitted and that worked OK for 12 months then one morning F4 again.
New control fitted and working fine again.
Well its happend again f4,tries to fire the igniter-no spark and then of course no ionisation current.
Does anyone no if they have an issue with the control boards on this model.
While its under warranty I,m Ok,in a few months its another problem.
Have you any idea what is failing on thes control boards...I repair SM PCB,S as part of my job,but without a diag its a bit difficult....
