just moved into a new house and the previous owner had converted the front room to a garage for his beloved harley. We re now converting it back to a living room and have the window that was previously removed.
To make it level with the other front windows it needs to be dropped 50mm...
OK, i will take a closer look at the wiring and noticed that the mid pos'n valve is joined to another cable before the junction box. I will check the wiring and get back to you here.

honeywell v4073 mid position valve - 5 wire
ideal elan 2 boiler
The wiring from the timer is all black
I need to replace the tank stat and have a 5 wire...
Thanks again guys. The rec said that they would have to charge a £400 works fee because the unit is being moved at request not because of a faulty/ unsafe unit.
I will probably get a spark to wire in the cu (and maybe pull the fuse)
i guess i'll call the rec to pull the main fuse.
I have decided to remove some of the wall to get a bigger cu in. Will let you know how it goes.

My sparky mate lives too far away to help out. What is the longest you can safely make the tails? What are the regs with regards to routing and protecting the tails?
Ok, looks like I am going to have to find some more cash.
We are already going to rewire the lights and my friend who is a spark said we can run 1.5mm in singles in the conduit for the lights and it would be up to regs. Is he right? It would be so much easier than trying to get t+e around...
