UPDATE LADS You’ll be relieved to know I took the dual channel system back and got the correct one. I’ve installed it and it’s working perfectly! You can all sleep easy now Appreciate the help!!

So just wired the system up again and thought I would try pressing the hot water boost button. The boiler fires up. This shouldn’t do this though as it’s wired up for the single channel? what’s your thoughts on this?

Yeah we’ve tried that and the boiler is still firing. I played around with the locations of the grey and brown cables but have had no success. Either the boiler fires up as soon as power is connected (without any instruction from the hive thermostat-batteries taken out) and will not shut off. Or...
