    Electric Heating-recommendations

Our son's 1980's flat has no heating, looks like the previous owner (landlord) took out the heating panels. There are still CB's for them. He owns the flat but had no heating last year, apart from oil filled rads on timers but they didn't work well. Just put massive amounts of roof...

    plasterboard 'paper'loose

Muggles...guy who laid the bathroom floor tiles didn't finish off behind the sink so when I cut the pipes to the taps to fit a a couple of in-line shut off valves, water leaked down the pipes, despite my well placed oily rag, and onto the ceiling below. :(

Moving toliet pan - extend waste pipe

I won't ask! If I want to prep the bathroom a few days before is there a cap I can fit over the waste pipe or will a strong poly bag taped over the end suffice? Thanks Dave

Moving toliet pan - extend waste pipe

You can choose between solvent-weld and push-fit ring-seal. If the pipe is going to be concealed then I'd go for solvent-weld. Softus good advice Cheers dave

Moving toliet pan - extend waste pipe

Could you replace the existing piece with a longer length ? Mike I would if the vertical pipe was more accessible and I'm assumming that the horizontal pipe is 'welded' into the vertical anyway. Many thanks for the screwfix link. Rgds Dave

Moving toliet pan - extend waste pipe

We are in the process of a bathroom revamp and want to move the toilet some 700mm. The vertical stack is not really accessible so can we extend the horizontal waste pipe? we can keep the drop ok without having to raise the loo! but can waste pipes simple be joined together? If so what should we...

    Dissapointing new electric shower

We had a similar situation in a new house and the problem was the temp knob was fitted 90 degrees out. Can you pull the temp know off and move the spindle to the full cold position and then refit the knob? This was the problem with our Trition shower..just a thought. D
