    Filling joints in slab walls..

Picture shows dimension of wall construction, sizes are a pain of course. Ply will be 8x4 or 1220 x 2440 and the spacing is the same as the panel width. The bolt centres where i need to attach L brackets for battens are 1220 If i fit one panel vertically per bay, i'll have a 170mm gap to fill...

    Filling joints in slab walls..

Simpler but i cant see a way to fix and get any sort of levels on this badly built garage - the panels are everywhere, thats why i think battens would be the better option at least they can be levelled pretty well, its going to be a pain whatever i think

    Filling joints in slab walls..

I can add 50mm odd panelling depth to the inside, that will still leave room (just) for a full size UK pool table and full size cues :) I'm thinking to fix battens to the concrete with L brackets on the original bolts, then clad with 12mm birch ply. Insulation ?? Is Celotex/Kingspan the only...

    Filling joints in slab walls..

Just been studying the task ;) It will need battens as the bolts protrude about 25mm inside so foam gluing would mean a minimum gap of 25mm foam, not sure if that will work??

    Filling joints in slab walls..

Yeah i'm beginning to think that. The garage was badly assembled - the levels are everywhere I'm thinking to glue battens on then plasterboard it maybe - the slabs really do not like being drilled, the fracture and large lumps break off easily, drilling is not an option. The battens will only...

    Filling joints in slab walls..

Is there a fast and easy way to tidy up the joints in the slabs of a Compton garage ?? I really do not want to batten and board it, but would want to somehow fill the gaps and give it a paint-over :)

Pool table in a double garage?

How about something like this.. https://www.ecohome-insulation.com/product/ecotec-floor-foam/ with this on top... https://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-P5-T+G-Chipboard-Flooring---22mm-x-600mm-x-2400mm/p/164536 That will only lift the floor by about 25mm, I can get away with that.

Pool table in a double garage?

Ok, thanks, will have a measure up :) Does the insulation need a membrane under of can it go straight onto concrete?

Pool table in a double garage?

Hmm, is there a thinner option maybe? My issue is that if we go too high on the floor, my head will be hitting the steel roof trusses - i'm 6'1" :) Need to rise as little as possible i think

Pool table in a double garage?

Thanks, this one is flat, i'm not sure it was ever built as a garage, more of a workshop, it was there when we moved in but has very limited access to the front of house/road

Pool table in a double garage?

Hi all, I currently have a home metalwork business in my 14' x 18' double garage, this will be gone soon as i am retiring. The garage is a standard slab-wall Compton IIRC, the roof was replaced with PVC coated steel profile and kingspan insulation, over the years i have kept all damp off the...

Soffit downlighter - any special type?

Hi all, We want to fit LED downlighter to our entry soffit box, maybe 4 GU10 style fittings - does this need any special type of fitting? Will either be using smart LED.s or a smart switch in the supply so it can be controlled from our Philips Hue setup. Thanks
