No I don’t have structural engineering drawings, just architectural drawings showing beam sizes.
This is approved notice work as it’s below 50m2 and also i might to it myself.
im just struggling with no ridge beam to take the load when 99% of dormers have them and not a ridge board
minimum distance is 150mm on all 3 sides to comply with part j and helps with air flow around the stove. perhaps a off-set in your flue to bring the stove forward to achieve the correct distance.
are You fitting yourself or hetas fitting?
Don’t line this with pink plasterboard and skim as this will not take the heat.
cement boards are used and can be tiled onto, or clap brick slips direct onto wall or cement boards.
150mm is required around the all 3 sides of the fire

can any one see any issues with this plan I’ve had done.
I can understand how I don’t have a beam for the ridge with I have the dormer timbers connecting straight to the rafters
Hi all, just looking for help with my dormer conversation. I’m installing new roof rafters 150x50 and sitting these on the load bearing eaves to which the original rafters from this to the wall plate are to remain but I have a couple of problems.

Hi
I need to turn my water off outside to fix the internal stop tap but came across this?
Does the top unscrew and the isolated valve is below or is it a matter or turning this anti clockwise to isolate the water.
I’m having issues with this as it’s solid and won’t move
Hi
I’m upgrading my roof rafters to accommodate a dormer conversion and I need to install 150x47 c24 timbers with a birdsmouth cut onto the wall plate. A third cut is 49.5 which the timber rafter will be 25mm to tall to the existing roof rafters of 75mm.
how do I loose this height difference...
