The problem with the mixer tap is its pretty much open or shut. I closed the cold supply to the boiler a touch and it seems to have done the trick. The water at the mixer is nice and hot, not the greatest pressure, but then it never was. It runs the shower perfectly and just takes a bit longer...

Hi all, got a strange hot water problem, recently the hot water at my bath mixer tap is only getting slightly warm about hot enough for a shower. Thanks for the advice, by close off do you mean just via the thermostatic valve or lockshield aswell?? having had a quick look on youtube to balance I should shut the lockshields then open them up a 1/4 turn??

Just had another look and it was modulating relay that I was connecting to when the pilot went off, bearing in mind the power was off?? possibly some kind of fail safe?? Its as if the coil is failing to pull in, hence only staying lit when i'm manually holding it in??

Ah that makes sense then, just disconnect all pipes and cables and replace the parts in kit in situ!! I'm hoping its simple enough lol :oops:

Just had another quick look, I take it I need to take it right out to do the work but looking at how its attached to the plate heat exchanger, 'im not sure how I would get it off without removing both??? :!:
