Hi Found a leak here in one of these pipes. When the heating comes on (or is cooling down) the pipes are noisy. They look pretty close to me? Is there anything you could recommend to do to stop the creaking/ clinking? The plumber is coming Monday to fix leak, any ideas? Thanks

What about some liquid rubber paint aswell? Comes in white….

We think too much Feb mix put in sand and cement mixture first time, painted with masonry paint. Next time with undercoat and masonry. Not sure what to use now….

Can’t see where it is getting in though. The drip on the window box seat is probably not deep enough so wall getting wet there. But below brick wall??

Hi guys Exterior paint keeps peeling off our rear extension. Tried different paint, think it might be something in the mix when rendering the wall and the paint wont adhere correctly over it. Any advice here would be gratefully received Thanks

What do you think of my idea of softwood posts with accoya skirting around base of post. You can see photo at start of thread for how the posts sit on the raised plinth

We don’t get loads of sun on the front but hear what you saying on the cracking of the wood. The £800 is for accoya..

Yep get you. Was trying to to stick with the original porch design but your idea does make sense.

When you say plinth do you mean around the base of the posts? Concrete won’t look great around the posts though? BTW this is my neighbours porch which we are copying. I’m not sure if the photo shows it but the porch is raised off the ground so won’t be in standing water
