Water running down wall from soil pipe

The rain catches on the pipe, runs down it and onto the brick work. I wondered if there was something that could be attached that would let the water run down or drip to the ground, away from the brickwork

The waste pipe runs internally from ground level to first floor but then had to go externally due to internal fit out. It’s on a new build

Cutting tiles and adhesive slow to set

In the past I have used a wet cutter but I have just invested in a Big Clink dry cutter. I’m cutting 600mm x 300mm ceramic tiles. On the short edge they cut fine but on the longer edge I’m having difficulty. The tiles snap neatly at the top but not at the bottom. Any tips or thoughts as to if or...

Hi All, I've uploaded a video clip of a valve that leaks at the side of my hot water tank. Sounds a silly question but is it supposed to do this?

    Floor insulation for underfloor heating

Thank you both for your responses. Bit of an eye opener on the cost of floor insulation! My bungalow currently has a footprint of 90m2. Unless my math is wrong, the Aerogel would cost £12.5k! ouch. Couldn't find anyone selling it on the web though. The Kooltherm is a great price at...

Hi All, I have a bungalow with solid concrete floors which I assume have no insulation as it was built in the 70's. I will be removing the roof and adding new roof trusses to create a second floor. Whilst replacing the roof I plan to increase the ground floor ceiling height to allow for extra...
