weather compensation sensor and pump; are they related?

Thanks, I have seen this before but controls on boiler are different to the ones in video, don't know how to get into 'mode' on my boiler.

    Weather compensation sensor problem

I have the same issue, mine is an old boiler (dial type) see my post on the issue which I posted in Nov25. Haven't been able to sort it out, the sensor is brand new and the resistance values are within range of a working sensor as per MI. Mine just stays that way as per photo, no flame symbol, i...

weather compensation sensor and pump; are they related?

Not sure about that. See attached photo, the boiler stays that way if I connect the WC sensor.

    Hot water secondary return help

My cylinder is on 1st floor and the farthest fixture from cylinder was 60ft and took 2 min 20 seconds to get hot water. I have gravity fed system for hot water. I put a pex 16mm (for secondary circulation pipe sizes are not relevant). I put a grundfos 15-14 BA PM circulator and now i get hot...

    Heating system pipe size question.

I think it all depends on the amount of heating load on a circuit - general rule of thumb is if heating load is greater than 8kw 22mm is preferred depending on the length of pipework.

    Not Getting Hot Enough!

check trvs, I have a setup similar to yours, OV boiler 13kw feeding 7kw load for space heating, nice temperature difference between flow and return on boiler loop. The boiler short cycled and my gas usage had gone up. I tried different pump speeds but it turned out to be blockage in one of the...

Operation of 1st dial on heat only boiler

Its an open vent compact version of Viessmann regular gas boiler but can be used for sealed system too. The controls you are referring to is used to change altitude level, flame intensity, deg F to deg C etc. I have extracted a few pages from manual as I can not send the complete manual due to...

    Pressure Reducing valve query

Understood, I wouldn't leave it at autofill and set the prv at 1 - 1.5bar for filling or topping up the system. The T at the flow out connection from boiler has vent pipe on it, can this PRV connection for filling the system be made at that connection? The EV goes on the T at the return on boiler?

Would it be Ok if PRV is set at 1.2 - 1.5 cold?

    Pressure Reducing valve query

This is what has been bought on ebay store. I am trying to put it to seal my system from OV. I have attached a Robofil Auto fill loop from internet. Picture on the left is the actual photo that I bought.

    Pressure Reducing valve query

Thanks, that explains the double check valve I have has a provision of installing a pressure guage, so I don't need to use PRV to seal it.

    Pressure Reducing valve query

Thanks, will change it to proper guage. It looks like it but I thought I'll ask anyway. I need to add a filling loop on an open vent boiler to seal it, hence these questions.

    Pressure Reducing valve query

Hi, In attached picture what's the highlighted screw for on non return valve? This is to attach a filling loop for a sealed system. Thanks in advance.
