Hi, I had a loft conversion and done and I wanted to understand how I insulate the internal gable wall. I have been told that I should use insulation plasterboard but I am not sure what thickness. I would also like it to match the existing plasterwork. Any guidance will be appreciated.

Hi, Any advice would be great. I am trying to create a stud wall across a steel beam - please see attached picture. I have added noggins to the roof joists and I dont really need to attach to the steel beam. Is there anything I need to do or just run the stud wall head plate over it?

All in, the exterior shell works is almost done except windows and stairs

The structural calculations were also provided with the drawings - i spoke to the building inspector and he said the before work is done on insulation - he would to see how all the besms have been installed

I specifically asked the builder to build me a watertight shell, including windows and stairs. I have had drawings done by architect which speciies all the room sizes, windows, insulation etc. I did it this way because i am competent at DIY and fell comfortable doing stud walls, insulation...
