Or 4 me, I guess I am 75% of a standard fat bloke. So I am being paranoid and my floor will be fine, right?

332kg wardrobe too heavy for first floor?

It's not a misprint on my side. That's a PAX wardrobe that's 250 x 62 x 202 cm. She also designed it with plenty of drawers inside.

332kg wardrobe too heavy for first floor?

Hello, Wife wants to buy an IKEA wardrobe whose weight (without our stuff inside of course) is 332kg. The area of the wardrobe is 1.55 sq m, which gives us the pressure of 214 kg per sq m. She wants to place it in a 6 sq m bedroom on the first floor. I am now concerned if the floor will be all...

Thanks, that was an enlightening read. I'm glad I don't have to install a 150x150 batten.

Fitting a ceiling light to plasterboard ceiling?

Cool, thanks for the advice everyone. What could happen if I hang it on two screws to the joist and one to the plasterboard with a spring toggle?

Fitting a ceiling light to plasterboard ceiling?

The fixing holes are at the distance of 43cm from each other, and the joists are at 60cm. I can fix two of them to a joist that runs right through where my ceiling rose is. Fitting a ceiling light to plasterboard ceiling?

Hello, I want to fit a new ceiling light, weight 3.5kg. My ceiling is plasterboard. The light has 3 fixing holes arranged in a triangle 43cm from each other. I can fix one of them to a joist easily, or two not so easily (I'll have to drill a new hole for the cable that will go into the light...

Asthma / dizziness after using Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3

The draught is so strong it manages to open the bathroom cabinet and I had to place a heavy chair next to the ensuite door, otherwise the draught would shut it.

Asthma / dizziness after using Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3

It's been ventilating for three weeks. This is an ensuite, and I opened the windows in both the bedroom and a bathroom, to ensure strong airflow.

Asthma / dizziness after using Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3

Hello, Three weeks ago I started redecorating a bedroom. I've removed the old wallpaper, cleaned the wall and sprayed Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 as a base coat on the previously unpainted plasterboard surface. I left the previously painted surfaces as is, just cleaned them with soapy water. A...
