    I think it is a few mm otherwise it would be flush after fixing the insulation tape. I’m getting a spark out to check it out independently anyway as there are exposed wires from a junction box as well !! Spark will perhaps help on the level of it

    Thanks I’ll post the photos later . Don’t get me wrong the hob is an amazing bit of kit and engineered so well. Bora have said silicone is required but I think the insulation tape is too thick .

    Thanks all . Appreciate your responses. Spoke with worktop specialist and they say as you have said not to recut Dekton too risky. The Dekton was cut for top fitting and the only way we can get flush is a new slab - no thanks at £600+linear metre ! Kitchen fitter has defended this position...
