    PAINT ROLLERS

Bought a Harris or Draper ( One of the two ) roller cleaner today. It is just a plastic ring, flared out a one end. Cost 97p from Tesco's. You just pull the roller through it two or three times and the roller is clean and dry. Genius !

    alarms

I have an Optima panel. It is dead easy to wire, 6 core cable, 2 for switch, 2 for tamper, 2 for power. You can use any PIR's, and has all the functions you are looking for. I would advise you get a bell box that includes a strobe. If the alarm sounds it will reset after your programmed time...

    why a rewire. DOMROE

The old wiring is probably original 1973 I think. I must say though, I have been living here a year, and I have never had a fuse trip at all. Even using high power appliances at the same time, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Were is the incentive for a re-wire ?

    CONSUMER UNIT

Hi Teesdalespark, why a rewire ?

    CONSUMER UNIT

My house was built 1970's and I think the wiring is outdated. My consumer unit only has 4 fuses. Lights, sockets, cooker and immersion. It is a plug in fuse type, which has been replaced with retro-fit MCB's. My question is what would be the benefits of a modern consumer unit compared to...

    SHED POWER

My shed has power running to it using normal cable in plastic conduit underground. I know this is not a good idea. I want to replace the cable with SWA, is it a good idea to pull the SWA through the existing conduit using the old cable, to avoid re-digging the garden up ? ( A bit lazy you...
