I paid 4.5 for 3x4 decking, sandstone patio, sleeper beds, 6x4 shed and new wide gate inc labour. Would have been nearer 5 if I hadnt laboured for my mate and he got someone in.

Why is oil classed better than stain? My mate who did my decking recommended yacht varnish too but obviously after we stain it. What are thoughts on that?
