    Internal Stable door

A question for the joiners here. We are re-doing all of the doors in the house at the moment. We would like the living room door to be split opening top and bottom so we can do away with the stair gate. Does anyone know of a supplier of internal grade split opening doors? We would like the...

    Spilt oil on garage floor

Pour cement on it, let it dry and sweep it up. Then use swarfega drive cleaner on it. Done it many times and it's always worked.

Drainage in the garden under fake grass

Thanks. We've been avoiding the garden in the wet for years but just finished an extension which has left the place like a mud bath. And now we have a dog too who likes to bring in as much mud as possible! Will be nice to get it draining!

Drainage in the garden under fake grass

I've just had a quick look and normal moss killer is fine on artificial turf, so seems reasonably easy to maintain.

Drainage in the garden under fake grass

What kind of attention would the turf need? We get lovely summers mornings her in edinburgh but only in the part of the garden where the deck will be going!

Drainage in the garden under fake grass

Afternoon all, i have a very boggy garden, it's always like that and has been since i moved in, it doesn't get an awful lot of sunlight so tends to stay wet and instead of grass we get moss. I am currently planning a redesign including new decking. I was going to install french drains to get...

Looking for interior grade half glazed stable doors.

I did think about getting a solid, half glazed door, cutting it and maybe screwing on a strip to close the bottom when the top is closed, obviously need to install extra hinges and a latch to hold both together.

Hi all, as above really, looking for an interior stable door, half glazed (small glazed panels) if anyone knows where I could find such a thing?! Looking for ideas so I don't have to have a baby gate/stair gate on the door. Thanks

    Insulation between joists

Currently building an extension, Building control want a minimum of 100mm glass wool between the joists. I have under floor heating going in so I will use more than that to make sure the floor stays heated. I have some left over celotex 100mm sheets, I was going to put batons along the under...

    Epoxy fixings

Sorry that's not quite true. I was drilling into 100mm wide bricks so holes were 75 mm deep. Is it solid bricks? Or the bricks with holes in them? If you break through into the cavity or if the bricks have holes you will need mesh cages. Will get you a link later

    Epoxy fixings

I used 6 tubes for 135 holes that size.

    Epoxy fixings

I've just used rawl plug stuff. It's really good. I used a 14mm hole about 2/3rds the depth of the brick for a bit of 12mm threaded rod. Cleaned all the dust out of the hole by blowing into it with my compressor(a bit of tube and blowing with your mouth would work too. But shut your eyes!)...

Fire proof ratings of materials in extension

I think it's because the wall forms the new boundary. To protect next door?

Fire proof ratings of materials in extension

We submitted the plans and spec with a double layer and he said this wouldn't be enough. I've never heard of triple layer?
