    Danfoss MSLA032 CH Oil pump

Does aanyone know what the pumping rate of this is (ie cc's / hour) ? (Trying to work out how much it costs to run my Trianco Redfyre TRO 20/50 in comparison to electric immersion for water heating) Any help would be appreciated !

Zanussi FL 1084 washing machine bearing replacement

It's O.K. - got it out. For anyone else facing this, just drive 3 screwdriver blades down between any spider leg and the drum, and then lever the spider leg over the dimples (a bit of bruising on the drum innards, but who looks in there anyway !!!)

Zanussi FL 1084 washing machine bearing replacement

Having resigned myself to replacing the spider, I have, unfortunately, got one the 6 bolts, VERY reluctant to move - head is now rubbish, so may have to drill it off. However, my main concern is the dipples in the drum at the spider leg positions that take the 6 countersink bolts. Even with...

Zanussi FL 1084 washing machine bearing replacement

Got the drum out of the rear half casing O.K. (just needed more thumping !)- the inner bearing had completed disintegrated (as I suspected). In fact, half of the inner race had left it's seating and was thrashing around in the middle of the spindle - the rest of it was rubble ...

Zanussi FL 1084 washing machine bearing replacement

As the bearings in our Zanussi FL 1084 (or is it FL 1084 AL ?) washing machine were starting to make a terrible noise, I decided to act before things got really nasty ! I've extracted the guts of it, and split the outer casing. I am currently trying to remove the inner drum by sitting...

    Oil-fired CH boiler "scale"

Hi, I have just pulled my oil-fired CH boiler out AGAIN (battling with a leak - the last time that I had this, I successfully electric-welded the water jacket, but hasn't worked this time - discovered that welding can cause new cracks around the weld area, so am trying J-B Weld which has an...

    Epoxy for leaking boiler

Yea, unfortunately I only have electric, no oxy !! Also my brazing kit hit the dust many years ago and I haven't replaced it. Anyhow, the epoxy "solution" is attractive because the chances of curing the leak first time are that much higher and I don't have to move the boiler out into the...

    Epoxy for leaking boiler

Hi Tony, Thanks for the reply ! The technique/material is not the problem according to what I read - it is the effect of expansion/contraction of the surrounding material - although pre-heating and controlled cooling can get round this, it is clearly impractical for a private individual to...

    Epoxy for leaking boiler

Hi, I have a leaking Trianco boiler water jacket. I welded it up successfully about 12 years ago :D , but it has started leaking again :( . I have now re-welded it and thought that it was OK :D ... but it started leaking AGAIN AGAIN   Having done some research on the...

    Danfoss oil pump

Yep, that was the problem (for the benefit of anyone searching this forum for the solution to THEIR problem !). This is what I did :- I let the supply hose flow freely into a container to ensure that there was no residual foreign matter (trying to safeguard my new nozzle). Then I connected...

    Danfoss oil pump

(I think that I may be a bit-of-a pratt !!!) I see that there's a "bleed nipple" on the top of the pump - I guess that it probably needs priming before it will pump - yes ?? !!

    Danfoss oil pump

Does anyone know whether it is possible to dismantle a Danfoss oil pump (Type MSLA032) to clean it - I think there must be some muck in there as nothing coming out. Any help appreciated ! :(
