    Sorting a stair bulkhead

This was the old naff bookcase. I realize I missed out putting an update on here. It wasn't a perfect project but I'm quite pleased how it turned out. This was the finished (almost) project.

    Finishing interior block walls

Thanks for the reply. That sounds like a plan. Time to get to work. Yes I'll have to sort out the cable too.

    Finishing interior block walls

Hello all. I'm very slowly getting round to working on my spare room/office. The previous owners had put up shelves to hide the fact that portions of the walls are unfinished. Would I be right in saying that this would be some sort of cement skim coat over the block, then plaster on top? It's...

    Sorting a stair bulkhead

Thanks for the reply. Yes, they're faux stairs which I assume were used for getting books off the top shelves. Toilet seat fitting identification and removal help

It was as simple as you said in the end! I think the bathroom fitter must have glued the chrome top plate down and that's why it wasn't shifting. I just tore into it with a screwdriver with cloth underneath the blade to protect the ceramic, and it popped off. Cheers!

Toilet seat fitting identification and removal help

That's what I was thinking too, but I've been trying to prise it off but there's not much movement on it. I'm reluctant to use too much force with it in case I damage the pan.

Toilet seat fitting identification and removal help

Hi guys. Long time forum lurker here. I have been having trouble removing a toilet seat base with quick release fittings. I have a varied level of DIY experience, but it does not extend to cover this! I tried some googling and reverse image search, but that just brings up a series of photos of...
