Hi all
thanks for your quick and helpful responses. The following is a photo of each of the two taps in question. So can I assume that the small nut on the bottom is the valve test point and therefore does contain a DCV?

Hi Westom
thanks for your input, I assume by access points you mean a wireless transmitter linked to the network?
does anyone know if it is possible to get a plug in wireless transmitter to take the through power signal generated by the Comtrend powergrid device and re broadcast it at...
Hi all
thanks for all the replies and input. It certainly seems that I was on the wrong track in thinking the earth circuit was how the signal was sent, so that invalidates my question anyway, but for clarification the unit is a Powergrid 902 which doesn't give any technical information in...
Hi
I have two ring mains that each have their own consumer unit, but connected to the same meter. I use an Ethernet over power unit that allows me to connect a computer to my router by plugging a unit into the mains at the router and another elsewhere in the house to connect the computer...
Have been looking at the 2 way switch connections in the FAQs and have confused myself a little. :?
I am changing a 1 way (1 gang) switch to 2 way (1 gang) the new second switch is just at the other side of the wall, so all I have to do is drill through and connect up.
I have two...
Thanks for your help all
Davelx - I am actually using safari on an apple mac so that may be the problem.
Thanks very much for the scans Nozspark - afraid I am a bit out of my depth here, could you explain what I am looking at and what I need, how does a grid work? I assume I need a remote...
Hi Breezer
I still can't get in, am I in the right place, I am clicking on products and then lighting, but just get a page of html code. Can you give me a link within the lighting section to see if I can access that?
Duff
Hi nozspark
That sounds interesting, could you give me some more details, or point me to the right place, rexel senate's website seems out of action at the moment.
thanks
Duff
thanks Breezer, but you could say that about any dimmer, just get a lower wattage bulb. :D
the main reason is that it is a very big room with a high ceiling and needed big lights. I hadn't really thought through the load issue.
Why do some dimmers show va rather than watts ...
Afraid so :?
We currently have 12 x 60w bulbs in each and they are all on one circuit controlled by three switches around the room, one being a dimmer. They are standard ceiling lights.
I have just been looking at bulbs, the take the small screw candle bulbs, the smallest I have found is...
We have just installed two new ceiling lights with 12 bulbs each. It appears that this is too much wattage for the dimmer switch to handle as it keeps tripping to full power after a few minutes. Are there high capacity dimmer switches available or does have anyone have a work around?
thanks
