Extending garage opening, drawing says toe beam...?

Hi, I am making my garage into a double one/workshop. It will take the door opening to a span of approx 4500mm. This will take the weight of the pitched roof/conc tiles etc. The drawing says toe beam over, not sure what this is! Is it made, or formed on site or bought to fit?! Whatever lintel...

UK connecting generator to domestic circuits

Hi, How can/should you connect a small 650w generator to a domestic supply. Say you have a power cut can you simply connect it into say the ring main? Would this backfeed through the other circuits [I realise the limititations of such a small output!]. If you turned off the main switch then...

Noisy boiler/ cutting in and out quickly.

Hi, I have just put in two new radiators and replaced all the on/off valves with TRV's. When I refilled the system and fired up the boiler was very noisy, banging etc. This diminished and now the boiler cuts in and out every minutes or so and then turns off after 10seconds. I guess there is an...
