Fixed price from Heateam was £270. They offered me the option of their repair and cover which is £25 per month for 12 months (£300) so I went with that seeing as this was the third fault. That included this repair and any further repairs in the next 12 months.
Anyway, it turned out to be the...
Yeah, that's probably likely. The reason I considered BG is because they offer a fixed quote where they won't charge you more than that quote even if it takes longer to fix or needs more parts than they thought.
I guess I could call a local guy too and see what he says.
Hi guys (if anyone is reading this over xmas).
I had the nice present of my boiler breaking on christmas eve! Oh joy.
I'm getting no hot water or central heating and the fan/flue fault (50°C) light is flashing. I know there are similar threads on here and I've read through a few of them...

I know there's a lot of these threads but I thought I'd start one specific to my project.
I'm opening up my fireplace so I can have a wood burning stove installed. So far I've gone from this:

I got charged 38 kWh at 22.4p and 171kWh at 8.74p depsite using 77 kWh at night and 132 kWh in the day! That bill is for 28 days and seems to tally with their single rate tariff...
