    Filling and finished a border.

Hi all, I hope you are well on this lovely bank holiday weekend. I'm currently in the process of decorating our living room and dining room but i have come to a grinding halt due to the finish of a border. Our ceilings have the usual coving but beneath is some pre existing plaster border...

    Ceiling light wiring mess

I've seen the Hager box but i like the Wago stuff personally as i have experience using it in industrial applications. I haven't seen a bigger Wago box however. Any links?

    Ceiling light wiring mess

Ok, i think i have got my plan together. See attached. Just as an aside, i like the look of the Wago stuff. Can anyone recommend i.e MF rated? As per my drawing, i could easily buy a 1 x 2 way, 2 x 4 way and 1 x 5 way Wagos and a wagobox making everything nice and tidy and easy to fit too...

    Ceiling light wiring mess

Thanks buddy. I'll probably go for the J804 maintenance free since i don't really regard the location "accessible" without having to rip up carpets and floorboards again. I'll need four cables entering and one exiting (for the light itself). I trust it's ok to double up on the entry ports?

    Ceiling light wiring mess

Yeah, the switched live in the photo is black (and should have some brown tape on). I coloured it red in the drawing by mistake. Anywho, i decided to take a peak under the carpet upstairs and hey Presto, the boards have been up for previous work and were only screwed down. I now have great...

    Ceiling light wiring mess

My bad, it is 4. Would consolidating all of the existing wires into a single terminal block be acceptable and then take single L/E/N wires off this terminal block to the light fitting?

    Ceiling light wiring mess

Good morning all. We've recently had our hallway and ceiling plastered and naturally had to remove the ceiling light. Everything came away OK but i uncovered a bit of a mess. We wanted to replace the existing fittings with some new lights but because of the mess of wires that we have, i cannot...

Dishwasher installation - 3.5 metres from water inlet / waste outlet

Thanks. I can't really keep it high because the other cupboards are in the way. I'm really interested to know whether the guys (chappers and steve) had a high loop on the dishwasher as well as the sink or whether the pipe drain exited the dishwasher horizontally. I appreciate this isn't best...

Dishwasher installation - 3.5 metres from water inlet / waste outlet

Just raised a similar thread on this topic but i wish i'd seen this first..... Just out of interest, does your waste hose immediately exit the d/w and run along the floor or is there the high loop on the back before it runs along the floor? Thanks!

Installing a Dishwasher away from Sink

Hi all, My first post here so go easy ;) I am trying to install a dishwasher approximately 3 meters (line of sight) away from the sink which means i need to run a Cold water feed and Drain hose over a distance. The cold water feed isn't a problem and is already sorted, it's the drain i'm...
