i dont do a lot of gas fires but could it not be a flue problem say a down draft or lack of a draft also is there a fan in the flue ?
also might want to check the oulet pressure on the gas valve but the engineer may have already done this
well it depends on what kind of a system you have but it could be as simple as the supply pipes on the mixer (would help to know what was in before that ) which on most are reduced down to 10mm or there abouts for 15mm so the pressure could have always been the same except now its trying to...
if there is one thing i recall about valliant in a specific model which i cant recall the flow sensor kept sticking the fact that it was in rented accadation did help as it would be idle for periods of time. but the fact that there has been mains repair work near by would sound alarm bells ring...
your pressure relief valve (prv) could be faulty and may need to be renewed, one way of finding out is checking the discharge pipe off the prv which should be pipe to the out side usually on the external face that the boiler is mounted on. the prv is mounted in the boiler casing to the lower...
It would be difficult to say what's wrong with out actually seeing it those types of cisterns vary from manufacture to manufacturer. why they ever change from the good old syphon is beyond me.
--if it aint broken dont fix it--
you need to but enough ptfe tape on (it wouldnt be my first choice for making the connection though) so that it seals and stiff to turn you shouldnt have to thread it all the way into the fitting to get a good deal that way you still have a couple of turns left on the threads to get the...
What they where talking about is the fill-loop it sould be a silver flexible (most are silver ) 15mm hose/pipe that is used for topping up or filling the system but most be disconnected from the boiler again as its a mains water supply. the solid pipes your referring to are/should the system...
the expansion vessel would have been my first thought as well but may be (as that cause im not firmiliar with the boiler) the pump has ceased? and its the water temp thats respnsible for the rise in temp? but as blahblah siad doesnt sound good that the prv didnt releave the excess pressure the...
