I changed a float valve in a WC cistern that has cylindrical type flush mechanism. A push button fitted to the lid, depresses central part of the mechanism to start the flush.

During change of the float valve I must have effected some setting on the flush mechanism. Now it will only short flush.

Any suggestions most welcome

It would be difficult to say what's wrong with out actually seeing it those types of cisterns vary from manufacture to manufacturer. why they ever change from the good old syphon is beyond me.

--if it aint broken dont fix it--
