Is it possible to find a 3/4inch to 3/4inch with valve?

Instead of your neatly done pipework use a flexible braided stainless steel tap connector.3/4" at one end (for the splitter ) with a 15mm compression or pushfit at the other. On this end put the outside tap. Or hard plumb it from the cold water pipe.

    Printer "waste ink tray full".

I use an old laser for in house printing and keep the inkjet for work going external. A litre of isopropryl alcohol is a good investment for any household and its good for cleaning printer gubbins like a waste sponge or print head. Inkjets are a royal pita whatever the price Infrequent use is...

    Swift Bricks

A well intentioned idea But beware. Any hole above 4.5 mm in size is likely to provide an entrance for bee swarms or wasps. The former can be difficult to remove alive or just expensive to destroy once within the fabric of the building. Eaves cavity walls soffits and chimneys are all favorites...

    Scaffolding conundrum

Ten years ago I was quoted £2500 for two 15 m long x 4 m high runs of scaffold for two weeks. I got on ebay and ordered six scffold towers and made my own ,bolting them to the walls. With the timber runs it came in at just under £1000.Plus I got to keep it all afterwards.

    Floor base advice

I have been granted long term use of a stable /livestock shelter that I can convert to a workshop. The floor is substantial concrete but has no dpc. The damp causes condensation to drip from the tin roof on a humid day. The obvious ideal would be to dig up the floor and start again with a...
