    there is 2 squares of raised level, one at each end which i believe has wood under ..also the waste has a raised part as well the same as the 2 other pieces. this raised bit is about 1 inch

    hi thanks for your replys.. the wife likes the idea of tiling the splashback and sides... so. i will render the inside walls and then tile.. any pointers towards tile adesive or grout. as for extraction im not using the chimney but an integrated unit so should be ok. thanks

    ive just stripped the wallpaper in 2 bedrooms. underneath there is a coat of which i guess is emulsion however about 50% came off with the wallpaper. how do i get rid of the paint that is left behind????
