Good idea, thanks -I mailed Ryobi when it went and they said when it's out of the 1 year warranty, they really can't help. I didn't beg or plead , but I didn't get the vibes that they would help any further.
Thank you so much for reply - and apologies as I realise I missed a chunk out on my initial post...
I was looking for a cheap (not Ryobi) brand.
I found that price on Ryobi and just couldn't bring myself to pay that when a new machine (albeit in the sale) is not a huge amount more.
So, my first...
The drive shaft has gone on mine, but motor is great.
Does anyone have a link to a flexi shaft that would fit please?
Got one from Amazon, and it's too small
Thanks
EDIT - 'too small' as in diameter at screw in connection
If she ever wants to plant herbs/mint/basil/sage/oregano etc then put any old poor, sandy, well draining soil, in there - they hate nutrient rich, heavy stuff. Same with nasturtium , they will grow like anything but not flower much in rich soil
Advertisers are devious buggers and want to mislead the average punter half-wit who doesn't read the full description , but who just looks at a few pics at a glance and is old enough to know better:D
BTW when painting over old oil based gloss paint (white) with a new water based 'gloss', what kind of preparation is required? Just sand it and paint ? Or undercoat first? There's quite a few chips out of the wood surfaces
If so, what grade sandpaper and what undercoat will work best?
Not painted doors and skirting for many years , and want to find the best low odour paint possible (other half has very sensitive disposition to almost any paint, let alone a 'gloss' or similar)
Can anyone give me a recommendation for the best low odour indoor wood paint please?
Thanks in...
I got a reply from Ryobi , and they pointed out the 90 was for illustration purposes etc etc and , to be honest, if they hadn't replied with a human being writing the email, I might have wanted to take it further - they even apologised for taking a while to get back to me, and that good enough...
In the inset photos on the left, is the 90degree attachment. The fact that they chosen focus on it like that and give it it's own photo , suggested to me it was in the kit.
And no, I didnt read the features.
Yes, that is my thought too.
I mailed them and they didn't reply. I'm not sure of the actual definition of this, but it's some kind of mis-selling, and as such needs to be called out. But if they won't answer me , then not sure of the next thing to do?
My man, @MynameisBod , you got me there.
I gave up the rap game in the 80's, moved from New York and retired to a quiet corner of the Midlands for a life of DIY:p
Cheers all. Kicking myself a bit as I saw a neighbour selling one last year for £50, but didnt think I'd need one anytime soon and have nowhere to store one either.
