i'm pretty sure its nothing to do with the motorised valve as i haven't touched or used it for years (10+).
i switch the heating on at the boiler.
i wondered if it was maybe the C.H temperature sensor
i have a potterton 80e boiler.
when i put the heating on, the boiler stays on constantly.
it used to flick on and off.
i don't have a central thermostat.i have them on the rads (there not on maximum)
??
should i not try to undo the communication hose?
instead would it be better if i try to clear the blockage by taking the pump out and attempt to clean the hose that way?
i need to clean the communication hose to the expansion vessel in my potterton 80e boiler.
i'm finding it really awkward to undo the hose.is there a certain tool i should be using ?
i've had the expansion vessel pumped before and i don't remember the pressure gauge going up when using the hot water while not having the heating on.
i still haven't had to top the boiler up.
the boiler is set at 1.5 bar and when the heating is turned on, for the first hour or so the boiler goes to above 3 bar and drips out the pipe outside(between say 50ml - 100ml).it then settles down to normal.
in the morning the pressure is down to 1 bar (the heating has been off).
when i then...
since i turned the heating off last night, the the pressure gauge now reads 1 bar so the pressure has gone down a little.
i pretty sure the pipe has not dripped anything since.
i checked the pipe outside about 2 hours after turning the heating on.that when i see that it had dripped.
after emptying the pot it doesn't seem to have dripped anymore water since.
the gauge reads roughly 1 1/2 bar
i have a potterton 80e boiler.
i noticed today that the pressure had gone down a bit (it had gone down to 1bar)
i put the heating on and put a little pot under the pr pipe outside.
water had dripped out (something like 50ml - 75ml)
the pressure relief gauge had only risen to a little (less...
