    Possibly leaking shower tray

Thanks both for your advice, very useful. It's quite tricky to run the camera very far under the tray - I'll give it a go. Cheers,

    Possibly leaking shower tray

We have a small damp area in the ceiling above our side door which has been there for a few years but as it hasn't expanded or gotten worse I only started looking at it recently. I drilled a hole up through the middle of the damp area and put a striped stick through (see first photo). By using...

How to fix squeaky floorboard cut to the side of joist?

Hi, We had our CH pipes relocated underfloor a while ago and the plumber cut an existing floorboard to get access. It squeaks whenever someone walks over it but I didn't pick this up at the time. As the floorboard was cut to the side of the supporting joist it cantilevers off the adjacent...

How to soundproof concrete wall in flat?

I would like to improve the sound insulation between me any my neighbour. I live in a block of flats where the bedroom shares a wall with the next flat, and can hear the neighbour if she puts her radio on loud or is stomping about. She's not particularly noisy or antisocial but nevertheless I...
